Getting out into nature and exploring the many trails in Glacier National Park is the best way to experience the beauty of this area. Sally and Terry would be happy to share memories and information about virtually any hike in and around Glacier National Park with you. They have both hiked most of the trails you would be likely to choose many times during their many years in this area.
Many of these hikes experience relatively heavy use at the height of the summer because they are very rewarding for visitors with limited time in GNP. We also have recommendations for folks who have already hiked the most popular trails, and for those who are interested in spectacular alternatives with maximum privacy – a chance to experience some places that one-time visitors do not often see.
Bear Spray & Hiking Books
We have enough bear spray at our cabin to supply each cottage with at least one “lender.” Please be sure to remove them from your backpack and return them when you are not using them or before the end of your stay with us. Reference books on geology, hikes, flowers and animals are also available for your use at the kiosk.
